Accommodations DISCOUNTS

Registered conference attendees may be eligible for group rate discounts at certain hotels for the nights of October 31st and November 1st!

If you are affiliated with a group, please have your primary contact e-mail qpc.logistics@gmail.com with ACCOMMODATIONS in the subject line, your contact information, and group numbers ASAP! If you are not affiliated with a group and need a place to stay you can also e-mail your information and numbers to qpc.logistics@gmail.com with ACCOMMODATIONS in the subject line.  The logistics committee will be happy to take any comments, questions, and concerns about accommodations.

Parking Permits

Driving up to QPC?  Please have your primary contact person e-mail qpc.logistics@gmail.com with PARKING in the subject line with the number of permits you as an individual (if not affiliated with a group), or your group may need (1 permit per vehicle). We are currently working with the City of Berkeley to acquire parking permits for you lovely attendees to transport yourself to Cal’s campus and park without any hassle!

Volunteers Needed for QPC

QPC is looking for volunteers for the day of the conference to do anything and everything from registering participants the day of the conference, setting up our venues, helping guide our visitors around campus and more!

Workshops Deadline extended to 10/17

QPC is still accepting applications for workshops! If you or someone you know is interested in facilitating an exciting, engaging workshop, email your ideas to workshops.qpc08@gmail.com.

You can send us a brief description of your workshop, title, and name(s) of the facilitators to propose a workshop idea. To confirm your workshop you will need to complete a workshop application, you can download here.

Complete applications are due by OCTOBER 17.

Call for Performers

QPC is working hard to include a variety of entertainers from all around the Bay Area for this conference, and would like to extend the opportunity to you!

If you are an artist or are a member of a group that would like to perform (dance, art, spoken word, singing, etc), please email us at ucb.qpc@gmail.com with a short bio/description, and subject line “PERFORMANCE” and hopefully we can give you a time slot during performances.

‘Biyuti Pageant’ Call for Participants

As some of you have noticed from our conference schedule, this year QPC will be hosting a Biyuti Pageant! That’s right beautifuls, we’re going to have a pageant show!

We’re looking for any individuals excited to share their style, stage presence, and talent so if you are ready to strut your stuff and would like to participate in your absolute best, please email us at ucb.qpc@gmail.com with subject line “BIYUTI PAGEANT”.

Call for Workshops and Artists

QPC 2008 is looking for facilitators with workshops or presentations on a diverse range of topics. You can find more information here, or just download the complete workshop application.

Workshop applications are due by October 3.

Also, we are also seeking artists who want to show their art at the very first QPC Art Gallery at this year’s conference!

We are looking for artwork of a diverse range of media. If you are interested in submitting your work please download and complete the QPC gallery application and submit it to ucb.qpc@gmail.com.
